Work with website messages
Read and organize contact-form enquiries, reply with context, add private notes, and keep follow-up from slipping.
Messages is the inbox for enquiries sent through your website contact form. It keeps the original submission, contact details, conversation state, and your team's private context together.
Process the inbox#
Open the message
Choose Messages in the Audience section. New enquiries appear unread; select one to open its reading pane.
Check the sender and request
Confirm the reply address, read the full submission, and look for dates, location, budget, or links before responding.
Reply or record a private note
Use reply for the sender-facing response. Use a private note for internal context that must never be sent to the contact.
Set the message state
Star important threads and use read or unread status intentionally so the inbox reflects what still needs attention.
Find what matters#
Use search and filters to narrow the inbox by unread or starred state. The sidebar badge is the fastest signal that new enquiries are waiting.
Build a healthy response habit#
Answer genuine booking and press enquiries promptly, verify suspicious links before opening them, and move repeat contacts into a clear follow-up process. The related person is also available in Contacts.
